  • 30 ounce black beans drained and rinsed low-sodium canned
  • cup dates pitted
  • cup all-fruit raspberry jam 
  • 0.3 teaspoon sea salt 
  • cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • tablespoon vanilla extract pure
  • 0.3 cup pastry flour whole-wheat

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ºF and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the black beans, dates, jam, and vanilla in a food processor and process until smooth.
  3. Add the flour, cocoa powder, and salt and process again.
  4. Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until the top looks set.
  6. Remove from the oven and cool completely, then cut into 16 squares. The brownies will keep, refrigerated in a covered container, for up to 1 week.
