  • 15 ounce .5 can cannellini beans white drained canned
  • tablespoons cilantro leaves fresh chopped
  •  garlic cloves minced
  • tablespoon olives green pitted chopped
  • pound lamb stew meat 
  • teaspoons olive oil 
  • 10 ounce peas green frozen
  • cup bell pepper red chopped
  • tablespoon teaspoon rubbed sage dried fresh chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 14.5 ounce tomato wedges undrained canned
  • 0.5 cup water

Directions

  1. Sprinkle lamb with salt.
  2. Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.
  3. Add lamb; saut 5 minutes or until browned.
  4. Add bell pepper and garlic; saut 3 minutes.
  5. Add water and next 5 ingredients (water through peas); cover, reduce heat, and simmer 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add cilantro, sage, and black pepper; simmer 5 minutes.
  7. Note: Substitute 1 pound beef tips for lamb, if desired. Prepare recipe as directed, increasing water from 1/2 cup to 1 cup and simmering from 5 to 15 minutes longer.
