  • slices bacon 
  • 1.3 cups barbecue sauce 
  • 90 ounce great northern beans drained canned
  • teaspoons chipotle sauce canned minced
  • 0.8 cup beer dark
  • tablespoons t brown sugar dark packed ()
  • tablespoons dijon mustard 
  • servings parsley fresh chopped
  • 0.3 cup blackstrap molasses light ()
  • 1.5 cups onion chopped
  • tablespoon soya sauce 
  • tablespoons worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook bacon in large skillet over medium heat until crisp.
  2. Transfer to paper towels and drain.
  3. Transfer 2 1/2 tablespoons bacon drippings from skillet to large bowl. Finely chop bacon; add to bowl.
  4. Add onion and next 7 ingredients to bowl and whisk to blend.
  5. Whisk in 4 to 6 teaspoons chipotle chilies, depending on spiciness desired. Stir in beans.
  6. Transfer bean mixture to 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish.
  7. Bake uncovered until liquid bubbles and thickens slightly, about 1 hour. Cool 10 minutes.
