  • 22  rashers unsmoked streaky bacon halved
  • tbsp muscovado sugar dark
  • tbsp olive oil 
  •  onions red sliced
  • 16  cumberland sausages 
  • servings rolls soft
  • tbsp tomato ketchup 
  •  onions white sliced
  • tbsp wholegrain mustard 
  • tsp worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6.Wrap a whole bacon rasher around each
  2. Cumberland sausage and a half rasheraround each chipolata.
  3. Spread out in1-2 large, shallow baking trays.In a large roasting tin, toss the slicedonions with the oil, then roast on thetop shelf of the oven with the sausagesbelow for 20 mins.
  4. Mix togetherthe mustard, ketchup, sugar and
  5. Worcestershire sauce with someseasoning. After 20 mins, stir this intothe onions. Roast for 10 mins more untilsticky, then remove from the oven andkeep warm. The sausages should becooked by now, but if they’re notbrowned and crisp, tip off any juicesand grill until done to your liking.Split the buns and serve with the crispbacon-wrapped sausages, sticky roastedonions and oven fries, if you like.
