  • 1.5 teaspoons bottled garlic minced
  • teaspoons canola oil 
  • tablespoons cilantro leaves fresh chopped
  • 1.5 teaspoons garam masala 
  • 0.1 teaspoon ground pepper red
  • 0.1 teaspoon salt 
  • 1.5 pounds shrimp deveined peeled
  • ounce carton yogurt plain low-fat

Directions

  1. Spoon yogurt onto several layers of heavy-duty paper towels; spread to 1/2-inch thickness. Cover with additional paper towels; let stand 5 minutes. Scrape drained yogurt into a bowl using a rubber spatula. Stir in chopped cilantro. Cover and refrigerate.
  2. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic; saut for 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp; sprinkle shrimp with garam masala, salt, and pepper. Cook 6 minutes or until shrimp are done.
  5. Serve with yogurt sauce.
