Ingredients

  • cups bagged baby spinach leaves 
  • 14.5 ounce canned tomatoes diced with basil, garlic, and oregano canned
  • cups less-sodium chicken broth fat-free
  • tablespoons basil fresh chopped
  • ounces turkey sausage italian
  • tablespoons romano cheese fresh grated
  • 0.5 cup shell pasta uncooked

Directions

  1. Heat a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Remove casings from sausage.
  3. Add sausage to pan, and cook about 5 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble.
  4. Drain; return to pan.
  5. Add broth, tomatoes, and pasta to pan, and bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until pasta is done.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in spinach until wilted.
  7. Sprinkle each serving with cheese and basil.
