Ingredients

  • 29 ounce tomato sauce canned
  • 14.5 ounce canned tomatoes canned drained chopped
  • cloves garlic minced
  • cups green beans italian
  • cup bell pepper green chopped
  • pound ground beef 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground pepper black
  • pound sausage meat 
  • cup onion chopped
  • 0.3 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • teaspoon salt 
  • 1.5 tablespoons penzey's southwest seasoning italian-style
  • 3.5 cups zucchini diced

Directions

  1. In a heavy skillet, cook ground beef and pork sausage with the onion, garlic and green pepper until the meat is cooked through., about 15 minutes.
  2. Drain and transfer the mixture to a stockpot.
  3. Add the green beans, zucchini, tomato sauce and canned tomatoes. Season with Italian style seasoning, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 1/2 hour.
  4. Serve hot topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
