  • 15 ounce pinto beans drained and rinsed canned
  • 29 ounce tomato sauce canned
  • 0.3 cup chili powder 
  • 0.3 cup bell pepper green chopped
  • 0.1 teaspoon ground pepper 
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cumin 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground pepper black
  • pounds ground beef lean
  • 1.5 cups onion chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon oregano dried
  • teaspoon salt 
  • 46 fluid ounce sacremento tomato juice canned
  • 0.5 teaspoon sugar white

Directions

  1. Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown.
  2. Drain, and crumble.
  3. In a large pot over high heat combine the ground beef, tomato juice, tomato sauce, kidney beans, pinto beans, onions, bell pepper, cayenne pepper, sugar, oregano, ground black pepper, salt, cumin and chili powder. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours. (Note: If using a slow cooker, set on low, add ingredients, and cook for 8 to 10 hours.)
