Ingredients

  • pinch of celery salt 
  • teaspoon basil fresh chopped
  • teaspoon chives fresh chopped
  • teaspoon cilantro leaves fresh chopped
  • 1.5 tsp hot sauce green
  • tablespoons juice of lemon fresh
  • servings garnishes: pickled okra 
  • servings pepper freshly ground to taste
  • pinch sea salt 
  • 1.3 cups sacremento tomato juice 
  • 0.5 cup pepper vodka 
  • teaspoon worcestershire sauce 

Equipment

  • wooden spoon
  • measuring cup

Directions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Press leaves against bottom of cup using a muddler or wooden spoon to release flavors; stir in tomato juice and next 7 ingredients.
  2. Transfer half of mixture to a 2-cup glass measuring cup.
  3. Place ice in cocktail shaker, filling halfway full. Cover with lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled. Strain into a glass over ice. Repeat procedure with remaining tomato mixture.
  4. Garnish, if desired.
  5. Note: For testing purposes only, we used Absolut Peppar Vodka and Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce.
  6. Kane's Bloody Mary: Substitute regular vodka for pepper vodka. Proceed with recipe as directed.
