  • tablespoon lemon rind grated
  • cups buttermilk low-fat
  • cup vanilla yogurt low-fat
  •  mint sprigs 
  • 1.5 cups poached berries mixed (such as raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries)
  • teaspoon orange rind grated
  • tablespoons liqueur orange-flavored (such as Triple Sec)
  • 0.5 cup sugar 
  • cup water

Directions

  1. To prepare sherbet, combine sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook until sugar dissolves, stirring frequently.
  2. Transfer syrup to a large bowl; cool.
  3. Add buttermilk, yogurt, lemon rind, and juice, stirring with a whisk.
  4. Pour mixture into the freezer can of an ice-cream freezer; freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. Spoon sherbet into a freezer-safe container; cover and freeze 30 minutes or until firm.
  5. Combine liqueur and orange rind in a small bowl; let stand 20 minutes.
  6. Serve with sherbet and berries.
  7. Garnish with mint.
