  • tablespoons cider vinegar 
  • tablespoon cornstarch 
  • 0.3 cup creamy peanut butter reduced-fat
  • cloves garlic minced
  • teaspoon gingerroot minced peeled
  • 0.3 cup soya sauce low-sodium
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup 
  • 0.3 cup blackstrap molasses 
  • 0.5 cup onion finely chopped
  • teaspoon pepper dried red crushed
  • 0.5 cup water

Directions

  1. Coat a medium saucepan with cooking spray; place over medium heat until hot.
  2. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring constantly, 3 minutes or until tender.
  3. Combine cornstarch and next 7 ingredients; stir well.
  4. Add to onion mixture; bring to a boil. Cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  5. Add peanut butter; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until peanut butter melts. Use to baste while cooking and/or to serve with chicken or pork.
