  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda 
  • cup butter flavor shortening 
  •  eggs 
  • cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.3 cup maple syrup 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 1.3 cups sugar 
  • teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out to 1/8-in. thickness.
  5. Cut with a floured 2-1/2-in. cookie cutter.
  6. Place 1 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake at 350° for 9-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove to wire racks to cool.
