Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup breadcrumbs dry
  •  egg whites 
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  • cloves garlic 
  • teaspoon ground cumin 
  • pound ground beef 93% lean ( or leaner)
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • servings tomatoes fresh red chopped
  • tablespoons water 
  •  flatbreads (such as naan, lavash or pita bread)

  • skewers
  • broiler pan

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg whites, parsley, water garlic, cumin, salt and pepper in large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into sixteen 1-1/4-inch meatballs.
  3. Thread meatballs onto four 10-inch skewers.
  4. Place on rack in broiler pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
  5. Bake in 400 degrees F oven 18 to 20 minutes.
  6. Remove meatballs from skewers.
  7. Serve in flatbreads.
  8. Garnish with Toppings, as desired.
