Ingredients

  • tablespoons butter melted
  • 0.1 teaspoon ground allspice 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground ginger 
  • ounce mincemeat dry
  • tablespoon orange rind grated
  • 1.8 cups pecans finely chopped
  • servings garnishes: pecans toasted chopped
  • tablespoon sugar 
  • quart whipped cream softened
  • 0.5 cup water

Directions

  1. Stir together first 3 ingredients; press into bottom of a well-greased 9-inch pieplate.
  2. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
  3. Bring mincemeat and 1/2 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan; boil 3 minutes. Cool.
  4. Spread mixture into crust.
  5. Stir together ice cream and next 4 ingredients; spread over mincemeat. Freeze 8 hours.
  6. Remove from freezer, and let stand 20 minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish, if desired.
