Ingredients

  • 16 ounce bread loaf french stale
  • tablespoons butter 
  • rib celery chopped
  • 0.3 cup cooking wine dry white
  • large eggs lightly beaten
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  • cups mincemeat prepared
  • large onion chopped
  • 0.5 cup pecans toasted chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper 
  • tablespoon teaspoon sage dried fresh chopped
  • teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Cut bread into 1-inch cubes; place in a large bowl, and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onion and celery, and saut 5 to 7 minutes or until onion is tender.
  4. Add onion mixture to bread cubes. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  5. Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes or until stuffing is set in the center.
