Ingredients

  • ounces bittersweet chocolate chopped
  • large egg whites 
  • 1.5 teaspoon ground coffee 
  • 0.3 cup cup heavy whipping cream 
  • servings accompaniment: lightly whipped cream sweetened
  • 0.3 teaspoon peppercorns 
  • tablespoon sugar

Directions

  1. Grind peppercorns with mortar and pestle.
  2. Bring cream, coffee, and pepper to a simmer in a small saucepan.

  4. Melt chocolate in a large bowl. Stir in cream. Cool slightly.
