The star of this recipe is a mouthwatering combination of medium pears and large plums, both peeled, cored, and thinly sliced to create a fruit medley that's bursting with natural sweetness. The crisp topping, made from a blend of sliced almonds, all-purpose flour, and golden brown sugar, is both crunchy and flavorful, thanks to the addition of a pinch of ground nutmeg and a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. The quick-cooking oats add a delightful texture, while the vegetable oil ensures everything bakes up beautifully golden brown.
