  • 0.5 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • teaspoon baking soda 
  • 0.7 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  •  eggs 
  • cup flour all-purpose
  • 0.7 cup granulated sugar 
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • cups rolled oats 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • cup semi chocolate chips chopped
  • 0.5 cup shortening 
  • teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375F. In large bowl, beat all ingredients except oats, flour and raisins with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in oats, flour and raisins.
  2. On ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.
  3. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until light brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack.
