Ingredients

  • slices bacon 
  • cup onion coarsely chopped (1 large)
  • cups canned tomatoes diced undrained (from 28-oz can)
  • 30.5 oz corn whole drained canned
  • 2.5 cups okra frozen (from 1-lb bag)
  • teaspoon lawry's seasoned salt 
  • 0.3 teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon hot sauce hot

Directions

  1. In 12-inch skillet, cook bacon over low heat 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until crisp.
  2. Drain on paper towels. Crumble bacon; set aside. Reserve 1 tablespoon bacon drippings in skillet.
  3. Cook onion in bacon drippings over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except bacon.
  4. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until okra is tender.
  5. Sprinkle with bacon.
