Ingredients

  • cups milk 
  • 0.3 cup butter 
  •  eggs slightly beaten
  • 0.5 cup sugar 
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • cups unseasoned bread cubes soft ( 6 slices bread)
  • 0.5 cup raisins 
  • serving whipping cream (heavy)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. In 2-quart saucepan, heat milk and butter over medium heat until butter is melted and milk is hot.
  2. In large bowl, mix eggs, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Stir in bread cubes and raisins. Stir in milk mixture.
  3. Pour into ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  4. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.
  5. Serve warm with whipping cream.
