  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • lb savory vegetable frozen for stew
  • 14.5 oz canned tomatoes diced undrained canned
  • 20 oz beef consomme canned
  • tablespoon sugar 
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper 
  •  bay leaves dried

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 325°F. In 5-quart Dutch oven or 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish, toss beef with flour.
  2. Add frozen vegetables.

  4. Pour over beef and vegetables; gently stir until mixed.
  5. Cover; bake 3 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours or until beef is tender.
  6. Remove bay leaves before serving.
