  • 64 oz apple cider 
  • 0.3 cup brown sugar packed
  • sticks cinnamon dried
  • sticks cinnamon (3-inch)
  • Dash nutmeg 
  •  cranberry-orange relish cut into wedges
  • teaspoon allspice whole

Directions

  1. Bring first 7 ingredients to a boil in a Dutch oven. Reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes.
  2. Pour mixture through a wire-mesh strainer into a container, discarding solids. Stir in rum, if desired.
  3. Garnish, if desired, and serve warm.
