  • 0.3 cup butter 
  • 0.5 cup plus 
  • large eggs 
  • tablespoon flour all-purpose
  • ounce bread french soft ( bread such as Pepperidge Farm)
  • tablespoons granulated sugar 
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • cup brown sugar light packed
  • 2.5 cups milk 1% low-fat
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until mixture is bubbly, stirring constantly.
  2. Pour mixture evenly into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray.
  3. Arrange bread slices in a single layer over syrup in dish.
  4. Combine milk and next 4 ingredients (through eggs) in a large bowl, stirring with a whisk.
  5. Pour egg mixture over bread slices. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  6. Preheat oven to 35
  7. Combine 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Sprinkle evenly over bread.
  9. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes or until golden.
  10. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
