Ingredients

  • cup chicken broth (from 32-ounce carton)
  • 0.5 cup sherry vinegar 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 teaspoon curry powder 
  • 0.3 teaspoon turmeric crushed
  • cloves garlic finely chopped
  • pound chicken breast boneless skinless cut into 1-inch pieces
  • pound shells uncooked
  • 0.5 pound chorizo sausage cut cut into 1-inch pieces
  •  plum tomatoes cut into fourths (Roma)
  • 14 ounces artichoke hearts drained cut in half canned
  • cup greek olives pitted
  • serving rice hot cooked

Directions

  1. Mix all Saffron Marinade ingredients. In glass or plastic dish or resealable food-storage plastic bag, place all Paella ingredients except rice.
  2. Pour marinade over mixture; stir to coat. Cover dish or seal bag and refrigerate 1 hour.
  3. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat.
  4. Remove chicken mixture from marinade; reserve marinade.
  5. Place chicken mixture in grill basket.
  6. Cover and grill chicken mixture 4 inches from medium heat 20 to 25 minutes, stirring and brushing with marinade occasionally, until chicken is no longer pink in center. Discard any remaining marinade.
  7. Serve chicken mixture with rice.
