Ingredients

  •  garlic clove minced
  • tablespoons lemon grass fresh peeled chopped
  • 0.5 cup shallots finely chopped
  • 1.5 tablespoons sugar 
  •  thai chile red minced
  • tablespoons thai fish sauce (such as Three Crabs)
  • teaspoons vegetable oil 
  • 30 ounce water-packed tuna

Directions

  1. Cut each tofu block crosswise into 8 slices. Arrange tofu in a single layer on several layers of heavy-duty paper towels. Cover tofu with additional paper towels; let stand 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray.
  3. Add tofu; cook 2 minutes on each side or until browned. Set aside and keep warm.
  4. Combine sugar and fish sauce, stirring with a whisk until blended.
  5. Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat.
  6. Add shallots and garlic; saut 3 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Add lemongrass and chile; saut 2 minutes. Stir in sugar mixture, and cook 1 minute.
  8. Serve lemongrass spread with tofu.
