Ingredients

  • tablespoon canola oil 
  • cloves garlic finely chopped
  • teaspoons thyme leaves dried fresh chopped
  • 19 oz cannellini beans rinsed drained canned
  • 0.3 cup chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)
  • tablespoons parsley fresh italian chopped (flat-leaf)
  • 3.8 oz parmesan shredded
  • 84  celery stalks

Directions

  1. In heavy 2-quart saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and thyme; cook 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until garlic is light golden.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add beans and broth to saucepan. Partially mash beans with potato masher. Stir in parsley.
  5. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until bean mixture is thoroughly heated. Stir in cheese until melted.
  6. Serve warm with carrot sticks.
