  • 0.3 cup almonds sliced
  • 1.5 pounds granny smith apples 
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • teaspoons juice of lemon 
  • tablespoons butter melted
  • 0.5 cup matzo meal unsalted
  • 0.1 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 cup sugar 
  • 0.5 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Peel, core, and cut the apples into 1/4-inch slices.
  2. Combine apple slices, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice, and toss gently. Spoon into an 11 x 7-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray; set aside.
  3. Combine the matzo meal, sugar, almonds, margarine, and salt, and stir well.
  4. Sprinkle over apple mixture.
  5. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until browned.
