Ingredients

  • tablespoon almonds toasted sliced chopped
  •  garlic clove minced
  • tablespoons golden raisins 
  • 0.3 cup bell pepper green chopped
  • 0.1 teaspoon ground allspice 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cumin 
  • 0.5  jalapeno minced seeded
  • tablespoon juice of lime fresh
  • teaspoon olive oil 
  • 0.3 cup onion chopped
  • tablespoons pimiento-stuffed olives chopped
  • 30 ounce pie dough refrigerated (such as Pillsbury)
  • 12 ounce recipe crumbles burger-style

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 42
  2. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add crumbles and next 3 ingredients. Cook 3 to 4 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Add raisins and next 7 ingredients; cook 3 minutes.
  5. Roll each crust to 1/8-inch thickness.
  6. Cut 9 circles out of each crust, using a 4- inch cookie cutter. Spoon 1 heaping tablespoonful mixture into center of each circle. Moisten edges of dough with water. Fold over and press edges of dough with a fork to seal.
  7. Place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Lightly coat tops of empanadas with cooking spray.
  8. Bake at 425 for 14 minutes or until lightly browned.
  9. Serve with chutney, salsa, or sour cream.
