  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper black
  • 0.3 teaspoon thyme leaves dried
  • 0.3 cup cup heavy whipping cream sour reduced-fat
  • cups onion vertically sliced
  • 12  potato and onion pierogies frozen (such as Mrs. T's)
  • cup peas green frozen
  • 0.1 teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon sugar 
  • slices center-cut bacon

Directions

  1. Cook the pierogies according to package directions.
  2. Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet until crisp.
  3. Remove bacon; crumble. Increase heat to medium-high.
  4. Add onion, sugar, and thyme to drippings in pan; saut 5 minutes. Stir in peas; saut 1 minute.
  5. Add pierogies, salt, and pepper; cook 30 seconds.
  6. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
  7. Serve with sour cream.
