Ingredients

  • tablespoon chili powder 
  • tablespoon cider vinegar 
  •  garlic cloves minced
  • tablespoons garlic powder 
  • 0.8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • teaspoons ground coriander 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger 
  • ounces commercial guava paste 
  •  jalapeno minced
  • pound pork tenderloins trimmed
  • 0.5 cup onion finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup orange juice 
  • tablespoon paprika 
  • teaspoons salt 
  • 0.3 cup water

Directions

  1. Prepare grill.
  2. Combine first 6 ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Sprinkle pork with 2 teaspoons salt, and rub pork with the garlic powder mixture.
  4. Combine onion and remaining ingredients except cooking spray in a small saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil. Cook 4 minutes or until guava paste dissolves, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, and simmer 4 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Place pork on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 20 minutes or until a thermometer registers 160 (slightly pink), turning pork occasionally.
  7. Brush guava mixture over pork.
  8. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing into 1/2-inch-thick slices.
