Ingredients

  • 30 ounce garbanzo beans rinsed drained canned
  • teaspoon chili powder 
  • 0.5 cup cilantro leaves fresh chopped
  • ounce haricots verts trimmed halved
  • tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 0.5 cup onion red chopped
  • 24 ounce beef rib steak 
  • teaspoon penzey's southwest seasoning 
  • tablespoons citrus champagne vinegar

Directions

  1. Cook haricots verts in large nonstick skilletof boiling salted water until crisp-tender,2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Drain.
  3. Transfer to large bowl.
  4. Add garbanzos and onion. Reserve skillet.
  5. Whisk 3 tablespoons oil, vinegar, andlemon peel in small bowl to blend.
  6. Adddressing to bean mixture and toss to coat.Stir in cilantro. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Sprinkle mesquite seasoning andchili powder over both sides of steaks,then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  8. Heatremaining 1 tablespoon oil in reservedskillet over medium heat.
  9. Add steaks toskillet and cook to desired doneness,5 to 6 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  10. Divide salad among 4 plates. Slice steakscrosswise; divide among plates.
