Directions

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in tomatoes, sugar, chile flakes, salt, and pepper. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring often, until very thick, about 1 1/2 hours. Stir in oregano.
