  • teaspoon caraway seeds 
  • 1.5 cups hendrick's gin dry (such as Gordon's, Beefeater, Tanqueray, or Plymouth)
  • pound sauerkraut drained

Directions

  1. Combine sauerkraut, gin, and carawayseeds in heavy large saucepan. Bring tosimmer over medium heat. Reduce heat tomedium-low and simmer gently, uncovered,until gin is reduced by slightly more thanhalf, stirring occasionally (sauerkraut willstill be crunchy and gin and caraway flavorswill be absorbed), about 30 minutes.
  2. Addbutter and stir until melted.
  3. Serve warm.
