Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup celery chopped
  • 1.5 teaspoons thyme leaves dried
  • large eggs lightly beaten
  • 1.5 cups less-sodium chicken broth fat-free
  • cups fennel bulb chopped
  • 12 cups bread french cubed (1-inch) ( 1[1-pound] loaf)
  • 0.3 cup parsley fresh chopped
  •  garlic cloves minced
  • cup green onions thinly sliced
  • ounce turkey sausage sweet italian crumbled
  • cups onion chopped
  • 1.5 teaspoons oregano dried
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons stick margarine

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 37
  2. Melt the butter in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  3. Add sausage; cook 4 minutes or until browned.
  4. Add chopped onion, fennel, celery, and garlic; saut 8 minutes. Stir in broth and next 4 ingredients (broth through salt), scraping pan to loosen browned bits.
  5. Remove from heat. Stir in bread, green onions, and egg. Spoon into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray.
  6. Bake at 375 for 35 minutes.
