  • pound linguine cooked
  • 0.5 cup wine dry red
  • 0.5 cup parsley fresh chopped for garnish
  • tablespoon garlic minced
  •  bell pepper diced green
  • pound ground sausage sweet italian hot
  • cup tomatoes prepared
  • 0.3 cup olive oil 
  • large onion diced
  •  plum tomatoes italian ripe cut into 8 pieces each
  •  bell pepper diced red

Directions

  1. Cut sausages into 1/2-inch slices.
  2. Heat oil in a largeskillet over medium heat. Cook the sausage in batchesuntil browned.
  3. Transfer to a large, heavy pot.
  4. Add the onion and garlic to the sausage; cook, stirring,for 5 minutes over low heat.
  5. Raise the heat to medium and add the peppers.Cook, stirring, for 7 minutes.
  6. Stir in the tomatoes, marinara sauce, wine, andchopped parsley; season with salt and pepper. Simmer,covered, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
  7. Serve over pasta; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons parsley.
