Directions

  1. Combine coating mix and pepper.
  2. Dip shrimp in egg; cover with coating mix. Discard any remaining coating mix.
  3. Heat oil and butter in large skillet on medium-high heat.
  4. Add shrimp in single-layer batches; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
  5. Add more oil and butter to skillet, if necessary to cook remaining batches of shrimp.
