  • 2.5 tablespoons canola oil divided
  • tablespoon cornstarch 
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper red crushed
  • teaspoons ginger fresh minced peeled
  •  garlic clove thinly sliced
  • 0.3 cup spring onion (1-inch)
  • teaspoon honey 
  • 0.3 cup soy sauce 
  • tablespoons rice vinegar 
  • pound shrimp deveined peeled

Directions

  1. Combine shrimp and cornstarch in a medium bowl, tossing to coat.
  2. Heat a large wok or skillet over high heat.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon oil to pan; swirl to coat.

  5. Remove shrimp from pan; place in a medium bowl.
  6. Add 1 1/2 teaspoons oil to pan; swirl to coat.
  7. Add green onions, ginger, and garlic to pan; stir-fry 45 seconds.
  8. Add onion mixture to shrimp.
  9. Add 1 tablespoon oil to pan; swirl to coat.
  10. Add broccoli; stir-fry 1 1/2 minutes. Stir in shrimp mixture, soy sauce, and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Cook 1 minute or until shrimp are done and broccoli is crisp-tender.
