  • large navel oranges peeled
  • 0.3 cup olive oil 
  • teaspoons orange zest 
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper dried red crushed
  • 0.3 cup red wine vinegar 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • large shallots minced
  • pound shrimp with tails (3 1/40 count) cooked peeled

Directions

  1. Devein shrimp, if desired.
  2. Whisk together olive oil and next 6 ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Pour mixture into a large zip-top plastic freezer bag; add shrimp, turning to coat. Seal and chill 3 to 8 hours, turning occasionally.
  4. Drain shrimp mixture, and stir in oranges and basil. Spoon mixture into chilled glasses or small serving bowls.
