  • pound andouille sausage sliced
  •  bay leaves 
  • 14.5 oz canned tomatoes diced canned
  • rib celery stalks chopped
  • cups chicken broth 
  • teaspoons creole seasoning 
  • 0.5 teaspoon thyme dried
  • 0.5 cup flour all-purpose
  • 0.3 cup parsley fresh chopped
  •  garlic clove chopped
  • large bell pepper green chopped
  • bunch spring onion sliced
  • servings spring onion sliced
  • large onion chopped
  • pounds shrimp raw deveined unpeeled peeled

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 40
  2. Sprinkle flour in a 9-inch cast-iron skillet.
  3. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown, stirring once. Cool 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook sausage in a Dutch oven over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until browned.
  5. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Place sausage in a 6-qt. slow cooker; add tomatoes and next 7 ingredients.
  7. Whisk together browned flour and broth until smooth.
  8. Pour into slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH 5 to 6 hours. Stir in shrimp, green onions, and parsley. Cover and cook on HIGH 30 minutes, stirring once. Discard bay leaves before serving.
