Ingredients

  • tablespoons celery chopped
  • cup cornbread crumbs soft
  • large eggs beaten
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  • tablespoons green onions chopped
  • servings hamburger buns 
  • 0.1 teaspoon hot sauce 
  • 1.5 teaspoons lemon rind grated
  • leaves toppings: lettuce tomato 
  • tablespoons mayonnaise 
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • pound shrimp fresh cooked unpeeled
  • tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Peel shrimp, and devein, if desired; finely chop.
  2. Combine shrimp and next 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Add cornbread crumbs and next 5 ingredients, and stir until well blended.
  4. Shape mixture into 6 patties.
  5. Place patties on a wax paper-filled baking sheet; cover and chill at least 2 hours.
  6. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp patties 4 minutes on each side or until golden.
  7. Drain on paper towels.
  8. Serve on hamburger buns with desired toppings.
