Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups bell pepper strips red
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • teaspoon cornstarch 
  • tablespoons basil fresh chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon hoisin sauce 
  • tablespoons jalapeno jelly 
  • tablespoon juice of lime fresh
  • tablespoon olive oil 
  • 0.7 cup orange juice fresh (2 oranges)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 1.5 pounds shrimp deveined peeled
  • cup walla walla sweet vertically sliced
  • tablespoon water

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add shrimp; saut 3 minutes or until shrimp are done.
  3. Remove shrimp from pan with a slotted spoon; keep warm.
  4. Add bell pepper and onion to pan, and saut for 2 minutes over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the orange juice; reduce heat, and simmer 3 minutes.
  6. Combine water and cornstarch in a small bowl.
  7. Add cornstarch mixture, basil, jelly, and lime juice to pan; bring to a boil. Cook 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Add hoisin sauce; cook 1 minute. Stir in shrimp, salt, and black pepper.
