  • 15 ounce black beans rinsed drained canned
  • 15 ounce pinto beans rinsed drained canned
  • tablespoon chili powder 
  •  garlic cloves minced
  • teaspoons ground cumin 
  • 14 ounce less-sodium beef broth fat-free canned
  • 1.5 cups onion chopped ( 1 medium)
  • teaspoon oregano dried
  • 2.5 cups plum tomatoes diced ( 6)
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • pound sirloin cut into 1-inch cubes

Directions

  1. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray.
  2. Add onion, garlic, and beef to pan; cook 5 minutes or until beef is browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. Combine beef mixture, tomato, and next 6 ingredients (through broth) in an electric slow cooker. Cover and cook on HIGH for 3 1/2 hours or until beef is tender. Uncover; cook 30 minutes or until slightly thickened. Stir in salt.
