  •  bay leaves 
  • 3.5 cups beef broth 
  • 10  peppercorns black
  • medium carrots cut into 2-inch pieces ( 2 1/2 cups)
  • 0.3 cup apple cider vinegar 
  • pounds corned beef brisket 
  •  garlic clove 
  • head cabbage green trimmed cut into 6 wedges ( 2 pounds)
  • medium onion cut into quarters
  • medium potatoes peeled cut into quarters ( 5 cups)
  • sprigs thyme leaves

Directions

  1. Stir the broth and vinegar into a 6-quart slow cooker.
  2. Add the onions, potatoes, carrots, beef and cabbage. Submerge the Bouquet Garni (last four ingredients) in the broth mixture.Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours or until the beef is fork-tender.
