Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups cashew pieces whole
  • 1.5 cups almonds whole
  • 1.5 cups cashew pieces 
  • 0.7 cup brown sugar packed
  • tablespoons butter melted
  • teaspoons chili powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground pepper red (cayenne)

Directions

  1. Spray 2 1/2- to 3 1/2-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In slow cooker, mix cashews, almonds and pecans. In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients.
  2. Pour over nuts; stir until completely coated.
  3. Cover; cook on Low heat setting 2 hours, stirring after 1 hour. Lightly grease sheet of waxed paper; spread coated nuts in single layer on waxed paper. Cool completely, about 2 hours.
