Ingredients

  • cup basil fresh loosely packed
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  • cloves garlic thinly sliced
  • 0.3 cup lemon zest grated (from 3 medium or 2 large lemons)
  • 1.5 teaspoons lemon pepper 
  • cup salad dressing 
  • pound turkey breast bone-in frozen thawed
  • tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Remove gravy packet or extra parts from turkey breast.
  2. Remove skin from turkey. Make cuts, 1/4 to 1/2 inch deep and 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide, in top of turkey, using small paring knife. Insert garlic slices into cuts.
  3. Mix lemon peel, parsley and lemon pepper seasoning salt; rub onto turkey.
  4. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Cook turkey in oil until brown on all sides.
  5. Place turkey and any drippings in 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on Low heat setting 8 to 9 hours.
  6. Place basil and 3 tablespoons oil in food processor. Cover and process until basil is chopped.
  7. Add mayonnaise. Cover and process until smooth.
  8. Serve sliced turkey with mayonnaise.
