Ingredients

  • tablespoon chiles in adobo sauce canned (from chilies)
  • 0.3 cup barbecue sauce 
  •  chipotle chilies canned seeded
  • large eggs 
  • cloves garlic minced
  • tablespoons catsup 
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef lean
  • small onion finely minced
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper 
  • cup quick-cooking oats 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoon worcestershire sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Mist a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. Combine barbecue sauce, chipotles, adobo sauce, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper in a food processor and process until smooth.
  3. Transfer to a large bowl and add garlic, onion, beef and oats.
  4. Mix gently but thoroughly with your hands. Lightly pack mixture into loaf pan.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes. Carefully spread ketchup on top and bake for 10 minutes longer, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into center reaches 160F.
  6. Let stand for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
