  • 0.3 cup beef consomme 
  • ounce chipotle chiles in adobo sauce canned
  • 0.5 teaspoon cornstarch 
  • pound ground sirloin 
  • teaspoon soya sauce low-sodium
  • cups onion thinly sliced

Directions

  1. Divide sirloin into 4 equal portions, shaping each into a 1/2-inch-thick patty.
  2. Drain chipotles in a colander over a bowl, reserving 1/4 cup adobo sauce. Reserve chiles for another use.
  3. Heat a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat.
  4. Add patties and onion; cook 5 minutes on each side.
  5. Add adobo sauce and consomm; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.
  6. Combine soy sauce and cornstarch; stir well.
  7. Add to pan; bring to boil. Cook 1 minute or until thick.
