  • 0.8 cup almonds chopped
  • cup butter softened
  • ounce candied cherries red finely chopped
  • ounce candied citron chopped
  • ounce candied orange peel chopped
  •  eggs 
  • 1.8 cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 cup grape jelly 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground allspice 
  • 1.3 tablespoons ground cinnamon 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cloves 
  • 0.3 teaspoon nutmeg 
  • 0.3 teaspoon lemon extract 
  • ounce lemon zest chopped
  • 0.3 teaspoon orange extract 
  • cup pecans chopped
  • ounce pineapple chopped
  • 30 ounce raisins chopped
  • cup sugar 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 0.3 cup wine

Directions

  1. Combine first 9 ingredients; let stand overnight.
  2. Cream butter in a large mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  3. Add jelly, beating well.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Combine flour and spices; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in fruit mixture and flavorings.
  6. Spoon batter into a brown paper-lined and greased 10-inch tube pan.
  7. Bake at 275 for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until cake tests done. Cool cake completely in pan.
