  • 15 ounce tomato sauce canned
  • 14.5 ounce canned tomatoes diced canned
  • 1.5 tablespoons capers 
  • 13 ounce clams with juice minced canned
  • pound pasta like spaghetti cooked drained
  • 0.3 teaspoon basil dried
  • teaspoons parsley dried
  • tablespoon garlic minced
  • teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground pepper black
  • 0.3 teaspoon oregano dried
  • pinch pepper flakes red crushed
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoons sugar white

Directions

  1. In a large pot combine the crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, capers, minced garlic, sugar, parsley, garlic powder, salt, oregano, basil, black pepper and red pepper. Cover and bring to a boil.
  2. Lower heat to a simmer and cook for 45 to 60 minutes.
  3. Add the clams plus some of their juice during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  4. Pour sauce over hot spaghetti.
