  • 0.8 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • teaspoon chipotle chile powder 
  • 1.5 pound flank steak trimmed
  • 0.3 cup cilantro leaves fresh chopped
  • teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • teaspoons ground cumin 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground pepper red
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt 
  • tablespoons juice of lime fresh
  • tablespoon olive oil extra-virgin
  • teaspoons paprika 
  • 0.5 cup onion red finely chopped
  • cups tomatoes seeded chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat grill to high heat.
  2. To prepare salsa, combine first 7 ingredients in a bowl.
  3. To prepare steak, combine garlic powder and the next 6 ingredients (through cinnamon).
  4. Brush both sides of steak with olive oil, and sprinkle with spice mixture.
  5. Place the steak on grill rack coated with cooking spray, and grill 4 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness.
  6. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  7. Cut the steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
  8. Serve with salsa.
